The Hamptons, our source of inspiration

Our brand Rive Claire is inspired by the "Hamptons" style, which represents a unique lifestyle that is somewhat vintage, both elegant and relaxed, blending luxury and comfort. The spirit is somewhat bohemian, natural, yet incorporating noble materials.

The Hamptons are a vacation destination on Long Island near New York, characterized by fine sandy beaches, magnificent houses, and wild, lush nature. It’s all about grandeur, but executed with class, elegance, and refinement.

It was during a trip to this beautiful region of the United States that we decided to draw inspiration from this world. We left the center of Manhattan in a rental car, battling heavy traffic as you would expect in New York. To start, we drove for nearly 3 hours to the end of the island in Montauk, then leisurely made our way back, visiting most of the Hamptons villages. And what an incredible discovery it was!

Fishing villages, vast almost deserted beaches, absolutely charming cottages, preserved vegetation, and hippie chic-style restaurants – the Hamptons immediately won us over. It’s often said to be the Normandy of New Yorkers. A perfect haven to relax and enjoy every moment.

It was in this incredibly chic yet picturesque atmosphere that we had the revelation to incorporate both a theme and style into our collections. We wanted to offer a brand that was both elegant and luxurious, but also relaxed and natural. The Hamptons allowed us to create the ideal mood board, which then gave the guiding principles to our designer Joanna. And that’s how the adventure began!
